New APWA staff

Clint Helfers has joined the Kansas City office as a Web Developer. His main focus is leading the development of the RTAP project and maintaining other APWA sites and projects as needed.

Previously, Clint was a full-time student at the University of Central Missouri where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science with emphasis on Computer Networking/Internetworking. While attending college Clint worked a part-time IT job for H&R Block and Aquila Inc. where he performed computer support for employees and customers.

Clint recently spent two months traveling in South America, living in Peru and visiting Ecuador with his fianc‚e, Haydee. Clint's other interests include water skiing, rally racing, auto-cross, smelling flowers, and taking long walks on the beach at sunset.

James Kralicek has joined the APWA staff as Project Manager, Adult Learning. He takes over responsibilities for the Public Works Institute initiative and advanced training in Construction Inspection for both the web-based training and workshop programs. He will also develop several of the upcoming Click, Listen & Learn webcasts.

James has an M.A. in Teaching with an emphasis in Multidisciplinary Adult Education from Webster University and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University. Prior to his arrival at APWA, he held several positions at the post-secondary education level. He was titled as Program Manager of General Education where he supervised six full-time faculty members. In addition, he was the Director of Education of High-Tech Institute Kansas City, where he managed the education department, which consisted of over 50 full/part-time instructors and seven Program Managers. He also held the position of Kansas City Compliance Officer of High-Tech Institute where he continued to monitor the State and Accreditation alerts of compliance.

James has a level four certification in Competency-Based Skill Development Modules, Master Teacher at the Post-secondary Level in Organizational Development, Faculty Development, Diversity Training and many more.
