Peter is the chief executive officer of APWA responsible for executing the board’s actions and directing member programs and services in accordance with the APWA Strategic Plan. Teri is responsible for the financial, budget, and treasury management functions for APWA. Coordination of the APWA audit, tax, insurance, and banking services is also within Teri’s sphere of responsibility.

Brandy is responsible for ensuring prompt registrations to the various meetings and workshops that APWA holds. She reviews chapter financial statements to ensure they contain the required information and are in the correct format. She also sends out chapter rebates for those chapters that meet reporting deadlines, and handles collection efforts for various unpaid invoices.

Karen is responsible for the development and implementation of over 150 Congress sessions annually. She produces the Call for Presentations, manages the judging progress through the Congress Program Review Committee, and handles all speakers communications and contracting. She is the main researcher for many new initiatives in the department and develops specialty programs and workshops as the need occurs.

Michael manages the planning and production of the new interactive web-based series of monthly information training programs available at your desktop. He also exclusively develops the education program for the popular North American Snow Conference. His role also involves working with the chapters in offering live training, such as the Fleet Workshops, in their locations. Michael is the key education liaison to most of the Technical Committees.

Ashley handles the logistics, from registration to archiving, of the Click, Listen and Learn virtual seminars using the proprietary software required, including orientations of the speakers and producing the live broadcast. Ashley also handles speaker support for the Snow Conference and updating of the Education section of the website.

Jessica is the department’s focal point for all education-related inquiries. She processes the multitude of abstracts received annually from the Call for Presentations and interprets the rankings in preparing materials for the judging. She coordinates the communication process with the over 300 Congress speakers ensuring quality customer service and quick response to their needs. Jessica also serves as speaker liaison onsite at Congress. Her other responsibilities include CEU maintenance, evaluation summarization, and post-event correspondence.

Dann directs and manages all APWA Information Technology areas. Beth focuses on rural and small-community issues. She directs the Federal Transit Administration’s National Rural Transit Assistance Program, a $750,000 annual contract to develop technical assistance and training materials for transit agencies serving populations under 50,000. She also directs several related FTA agreements involving Welfare to Work, coordination of Health and Human Services Transportation with public transit and transit’s role in Smart Growth issues. She is the primary staff liaison to the Small Cities/Rural Communities Forum and represents APWA at a variety of federal and association working groups, coalitions and councils. Additionally, she edits the Washington Report.

Matt focuses on rural and small-community issues. He coordinates and develops the National RTAP web page (www.nationalrtap.org) including refinement of design and writing and maintaining content. He represents the RTAP program at seminars, meetings and conferences, and coordinates exchange of information and networking opportunities for state RTAP managers by conducting regular conference calls with those managers.
