The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has informed APWA of the details of a natural gas explosion in St Cloud, MN that resulted from a work crew puncturing a natural gas line while driving a guy wire anchor. The deaths of four persons and injury of eleven others was directly attributable to a delay in notifying emergency services of the incident. Information on the inident and NTSB's recommendations are contained in a pdf file.

Wisconsin County Highway Association Utility Accommodation Policy. This document was developed by 72 Wisconsin County Highway Commissioners to provide "a document that could be used as the core of a county, town, or village ordinance governing policy on the accommodation of utilities in public right-of-way. The Wisconsin Public Service Commission and utility industry cooperated in the development of this document.
