This Broward County Debris Plan could be a good starting point for agencies without a plan. Plans are normally updated based on the lessons learned and we do periodically revise it. Also included in this link is our RFP for procuring contractors’ services for disaster debris management.

This link features contract document that Leawood, KS, used when hiring a debris contractor. They had FEMA involved in this clean up, so this is in line with some of the things a consultant in the RFP will be probably wanting to have in their portfolio. Also included are copies of the FEMA forms that we were required to fill out (as samples). Check the FEMA site for more recent documents.
