When can I register for APWA’s International Public Works Congress and Exposition?

What is the cost for registration?
Media professionals receive a complimentary, full-access pass to the show, including entrance to
the exposition, all education program sessions, Sunday’s Get Acquainted Party and Monday’s Awards
Ceremony. Attendance at additional events can be arranged and may require registration and payment
(if applicable).
How do I check in at the show?
Press passes will be available beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, at Central Registration.
You must check in to be admitted to the show and exposition.
Where is the press room located?
The press room is located on the exhibition floor near APWA Central.
When can I access the press room?
The press room will be open concurrent with exhibit hours:

10 a.m. – 3 p.m. |

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. |
Feel free to set up appointments, check e-mail, work from the desktop computer and compile notes in
the press room.
APWA staff will be in the press room to answer questions and provide information from noon to
2 p.m., Sunday through Tuesday.
Where can I find more information about exhibitors?
Several exhibitors will provide media kits about their products and companies, which will be available
in the press room. To set up interviews or find out more information about exhibitors, contact Becky
Wickstrom, 202-218-6736 or bwickstrom@apwa.net.
Will Congress speakers and the APWA Board members be available for interviews?
Most speakers and board members will be available for interview on a limited basis during Congress.

Is there a press guide for media at Congress?
Yes. The Congress Press Guide contains the information to give you a head start on covering Congress, including:
- up-to-date press releases
- a history of Congress
- exposition floor map
- Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center map
- introduction to the APWA Board of Directors
- list of exhibitors by products and services as well as by company name
The Congress Press Guide will be available to download in early September, or for pickup in the
Press Room on the exhibit floor.
After the show, where can I find information about specific sessions and meetings?
A CD-ROM of the show proceedings will be available following Congress. If you are interested in
obtaining a complimentary copy, contact Becky Wickstrom at 202-218-6736 or bwickstrom@apwa.net.
