APWA and Water Groups Advocate for Water Conservation Programs in Farm Bill

April 16, 2012 (Washington, DC) – Seventy-three public works and water conservation groups are calling
on Congress to protect water resources in the upcoming reauthorization of the federal Farm Bill. Today,
the organizations sent a letter to Senate Agriculture Committee leaders requesting lawmakers recognize
the need to protect and restore our nation’s irreplaceable water resources and address water quality
issues impacting millions of Americans across the country.
