Public Works and Infrastructure Caucus Reestablished For 115th Congress
– Rep. Ryan Costello (R-PA) and Rep. Dina Titus (D-NV) announced today their reestablishment of the bipartisan House Public Works and Infrastructure Caucus for the 115th Congress.
Public works are vital to every community across the nation. Roads, bridges, drinking water, waste removal, and recycling are all examples of public works that communities rely on as an essential component of their health, safety, and functionality. The Public Works and Infrastructure Caucus will serve as a bipartisan forum to advance the discussion in Congress on the need for greater investment in our nation’s critical infrastructure, including public works.
“Our communities benefit when we prioritize the infrastructure systems that keep these essential services effective and on pace with the modern economy, as well as provide jobs to professionals in this sector,” said Rep. Ryan Costello. “I look forward to working with Congresswoman Titus again this Congress on promoting the importance of investment in our public works and infrastructure.”
“The state of our nation’s infrastructure impacts every aspect of our economy and our quality of life,” said Rep. Dina Titus. “The Public Works & Infrastructure Caucus will keep these issues at the forefront this Congress. I look forward to working with Congressman Costello and our colleagues to advance solutions that make a real investment in our nation’s roads, runways, and waterways for the health and well-being of our communities, our environment, and our economy.”
“As the 115th Congress begins tackling the significant infrastructure challenges our nation faces, the American Public Works Association (APWA) commends the Public Works & Infrastructure Caucus and in particular, Representatives Ryan Costello (R-PA) and Dina Titus (D-NV), for their continued leadership as the bi-partisan co-chairs for the caucus,” said APWA President Ron Calkins, P.E., PWLF, Public Works Director (retired) of Ventura, CA. “APWA’s more than 29,000 public works professionals stand ready to serve as a resource and partner to all Congressional leaders in addressing and meeting the vital public works and infrastructure needs so fundamental to our country.”
