New Fiscal Year 2017 Continuing Resolution

The 114th Congress finished and passed a fiscal year (FY 2017) continuing resolution (CR) very late on Friday, December 9th with one hour to spare before the federal government would have gone into partial shutdown mode.

The new CR, which provides budget authority to federal agencies, will fund the federal government through April 28, 2017 at current levels. Further funding for the rest of FY 2017, which goes through September 30, 2017, will be a high priority for the incoming 115th Congress and President Trump.
