The American Red Cross
) has launched a massive response to this devastating storm and needs financial donations to be able to provide immediate disaster relief. Donations enable the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from this disaster. A webpage has been set up to accept financial donations online
. More than 80 tractor-trailer loads of cots, blankets, ready-to-eat meals, comfort kits, kitchen supplies and cleaning supplies are now on the ground in Texas.
Public agencies affected by Hurricane Harvey who seek assistance from other public works agencies or APWA chapters

or call 816-332-0489. Information on the need(s) will be collected and shared with those who are in a position to be able to provide assistance.
APWA has also provided an outline for Chapters with respect to financial compliance and reporting of their disaster relief efforts.
