Liquid Use in Winter Maintenance
Liquids are the current "buzz" in winter maintenance. However, new users are often left wondering how to leverage liquid technology to the fullest extent.
This session provides insights from both seasoned and new liquid users and answers several basic questions such as:
• How are liquids used? • What are the benefits? • When is it appropriate to use liquids? When is it not? • What infrastructure is required? • What are all these additives and should I use them? • Will liquids save money, provide safer roads, or both? • What climatic conditions affect the use of liquids • How to get started. By attending this session, participants will be better able to: • Utilize information on how to use winter liquids appropriately • Recognize the different methods for using liquids including when and when not to use them • Build on their current winter operations by successfully adding liquids.
This program has been approved for .2 CEUs or 2 PDHs. The form to request these credits is available upon completion of the class evaluation. Please note there is a $5 fee per individual requesting CEUs.
