A welcome message from David Fain Facillities and grounds
Welcome to the APWA Facilities and Grounds Committee web page. The committee's objective is to provide an instrument for members to receive information and share their knowledge, experience and expertise regarding buildings, facilities, parks, urban forestry and other public lands with their APWA colleagues. It is an opportunity to assist one another through networking and collaboration.
The Facilities and Grounds infoNOW community (Operations) provides you a research tool as well as the ability to ask and/or answer questions regarding your organization's operations. It contains a library of searchable information covering a variety of topics. When you post a question, members are notified via email. Responses are sent to you or are posted to the infoNOW page. Searching the infoNOW page or posting a question can make a difference in completing a successful project.
The Facilities and Grounds Committee is a team of knowledgeable professionals who encourage members to participate in the many educational, professional development, publication and advocacy programs offered through APWA. We welcome and encourage your involvement. If you have a particular area of interest and would like to get involved, contact us by viewing our Committee Roster below. Please review our Business Plan including Strategies for 2009-2010. If you have any thoughts on articles of interest for the Reporter, educational sessions for APWA Congress or other ideas or suggestions, please contact APWA or one of the committee members. I also invite you to view the PowerPoint addressing the role of the committee to learn more about what we do. Finally, please review the Opportunities to Participate, Meeting Summaries and Newsletters links for more information about APWA and our committee.
