Small Cities/Rural Communities
The Small Cities/Rural Communities (SCRC) Forum was developed to help communities with populations less than
50,000 discuss problems unique to their population size. Smaller communities often face different obstacles
than larger cities and the SCRC Forum provides an opportunity to voice concerns and share best practices.
Every year at the American Public Works Association’s (APWA) Congress, SCRC hosts educational sessions
geared to the small community audience, a round-table discussion to talk about unique obstacles and ideas
as well as a reception.
