APWA Winter Maintenance Subcommittee
A message from Mark DeVries, Winter Maintenance Sub-Committee Chair:
Do the words "snow" and "ice" usually get your attention? If so, you are probably one of the lucky APWA members
whose primary job responsibility involves fighting it every winter. The Winter Maintenance Sub-Committee would
like to welcome you to our webpage! Our main goal is to provide agencies across North America with the information
and training they need to meet the expectation of the public.
Here are some of our main goals:
- Provide information on winter maintenance to the APWA member communities
- Provide assistance to the APWA organization in the planning of North American Snow Conference and other training events.
- To serve as an advocacy group for the APWA communities in providing input with other groups that focus on winter maintenance issues.
- Assist in the development of training materials that will benefit all agency snowfighters
