On behalf of the American Public Works Association's Board of Directors, members and staff, welcome to our information resource on the Web. We are committed to be the "gateway" for public works information and education, and the public policy advocate for infrastructure throughout North America. Millions of public works professionals work day in and day out delivering vital public services and we salute and celebrate their many accomplishments.
The network that APWA members have developed is phenomenal, and this website is a big part of that networking process. On this site you can learn about and take an active role in APWA's educational programs and advocacy efforts. We offer numerous forums for our members to communicate with one another through our infoNOW Communities, chapter profiles to alert you about public works activities at the local level, and links to other public works resources. This is also a great place to find an exciting career in public works through the APWA WorkZone. Please feel free to give us your feedback on how we can make the site better and more relevant for our members.
We are fortunate to be able to continue APWA's strong tradition of service to the public. The value of the American Public Works Association to you and your community is what you make it. If you are visiting and are not a member, we invite you to join us as we promote "public works in the public interest."
Larry Frevert, P.E., APWA President
